Customizing labels for user-defined fields

Several pages in Sage HRMS Train contain user-defined fields where your organization can track information not recorded elsewhere in Sage HRMS Train. After you decide how you want to use these fields, you can customize the labels for them.

Characteristics of the user-defined fields

The first three user-defined fields on each tab are text fields that can contain a maximum of 25 characters.

The fourth user-defined field on each tab is a numeric field containing up to 9 digits with 2 decimal places.

To customize labels for user-defined fields

  1. Select Setup > Training > Training Setup > Training Setup.
  2. On the Employer Selection page, select the employer and click OK.
  3. On the Training Setup page, enter or edit the labels for any of the fields on any of the tabs. Each of the tabs corresponds to a page that contains four user-defined fields.

    Example: If you want the first user-defined field on the Current Job Detail page to be labeled Comments, click the Current Job Detail tab, enter Comments for User Defined Field 1, and click Apply.

  4. When finished specifying labels on the Training Setup page, click OK.

Locations of user-defined fields

The following table shows where the user-defined field labels that you customized on the tabs of the Training Setup page will appear in Sage HRMS Train.
