Setting Up Earnings and Deductions

You can use the Earning/Deduction Codes setup window to:

  • View existing earning/deduction default information.
  • Add earnings, deductions, and accruals, including:
    • Earnings of all types (such as salaries, wages, and tips)
    • Deductions of all types
    • Benefits (cash and noncash)
    • Advances (cash and noncash)
    • Accruals (such as vacation, sick time, paid time off, and compensatory/banked time)
    • Associate deductions with earnings to allow the deductions to be allocated the same as the associated earnings.
    • Associate accruals with earning codes.
    • Change or delete certain earning/deduction/accrual information.
    • Import and export setup codes for earnings, deductions, and accruals.
