Employee's HR Status page
Use this page to enter information about the employee’s seniority, employment eligibility, military history, and union affiliation.
Tasks that use this page include the Add New Hire and Rehire Employee.

Description |
---|---|
Original Hire Date |
(Required) Enter the date that this employee was first hired by the employer. |
Last Hire Date |
(Required) Enter the most recent date that this employee was hired. This is used to include the employee on New Hire reports. Note: If you change this date and you use Sage HRMS Payroll, the Payroll Hire Date will also be updated. |
Adjusted Seniority Date |
(Required) Displays the date used to calculate seniority. Initially this is the same as the Original Hire Date, but you can change it to give credit for more seniority. Note: If you are using Time Off and change this date, the system asks if you would like to change the Attendance Seniority Start Date to that date for all attendance plans. |
Seniority: Years, Months |
Displays the employee's seniority, which is automatically calculated from the Adjusted Seniority Date. |
Citizen |
Enter the country where the employee is a citizen. |
Time Off: Service Date |
(Required) Displays the date used to calculate service for Time Off. Initially this is the hire date entered during the Add New Hire task. (Previously, this item was Vacation Service Date.) |
Time Off: Years, Months |
Displays the employee's years and months of service, which Sage HRMS automatically calculates from the Time Off: Service Date. |
Recruiter |
Enter the name of the recruiter who worked with this employee. |
Source of Hire |
Enter the referral method used (such as walk-in, agency, or newspaper ad). |

Visa Type |
Enter the type of visa, if applicable. |
Visa Expiration Date |
Enter the date the visa expires. |
I-9 Verification Status |
Select the status of Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification):

I-9 Reverification Date |
Enter the date for reverifying the information on Form I-9. (This applies only for employees who require EEO reporting.) |
Work Authorization |
Select None Specified or the employee's status, which determined the type of work authorized: Alien Authorized to Work, Noncitizen National, or Permanent Resident, or US Citizen. |
Document A |
Select the document (from the list of acceptable documents) used to establish both the identity and employment authorization of this employee. |
Expiration Date |
Select the expiration date for Document A. The document must not be expired. |
Document B |
Select the second document (from the list of acceptable documents) used to establish the identity of this employee. |
Expiration Date |
Select the expiration data for Document B. The document must not be expired. |
Document C |
Select the third document (from the list of acceptable documents) used to establish the employment authorization of this employee. |
Expiration Date |
Select the expiration data for Document C. The document must not be expired. |
Notes:
Union information is only shown if Show Union Data was selected on the Enterprise Options tab during enterprise setup.
Military information only applies for U.S. employees who require EEO reporting. The information is used on the following reports:

Union Affiliation Code |
Select the employee’s union affiliation. |
Date |
Enter a date that this employee joined the union. This date is used to calculate the employee’s seniority in the union. |
Military Experience |
Indicate whether the employee has military experience. |
Active Duty Discharge |
Enter the date the employee was discharged from active duty, if applicable. |
Protected Veteran |
Select this check box if the employee meets any of the following criteria:
