Mapping benefit plan codes to deduction codes

You must map Sage HRMS benefit plans to Sage 100 Payroll deduction codes before transferring information using Sage 100 Payroll Link.

Note: You can map only one Sage HRMS benefit plan code to one Sage 100 Payroll deduction code.

Before you start

  • Print the HRMS Benefit Plan codes report in Sage HRMS (Reports > Employees > Code Table Reports).
  • Print the Deduction Codes report in Sage 100 (Payroll > Setup and Deduction Code Maintenance).

To map benefit plan codes to deduction codes:

  1. In Sage 100 Payroll Link, select the Sage HRMS Employer (in the upper-right corner of the window).
  2. Select Setup > Benefits.
  3. In the Set Up Benefits window, click Add.
  4. In the Map Benefits window, select the following Sage HRMS and Sage 100 items to associate with each other: 
    • Sage HRMS Benefit Plan
    • Sage 100 Payroll Employee Deduction Code
    • Sage 100 Payroll Employer Contribution Code (if needed for the type of deduction)
  5. Click Save.
  6. Repeat steps 3 - 5 for each benefit plan code that should be associated with a Payroll deduction.

After mapping the codes

Review the audit reports to verify the codes that are mapped and see if there are any codes that were not mapped.

  1. In the Report Options section (lower-left corner of the window), select Mapped codes and Unmapped codes.
  2. Click Print.

    The reports open. You can save or print them for review.
