Benefit Eligibility - Dates page
Use this page of the Benefit Eligibility wizard to specify the actual date an employee is eligible for the plan after that employee meets all other requirements.
Item | Description |

Select this check box if an employee is immediately eligible for the benefit plan. This disables all other selections on the page. (This is the default.) Clear this check box to specify a waiting period before an employee becomes eligible for the plan. |
Source Date |
If the employee is not immediately eligible, select the Original Hire Date, Seniority Date, or Last Hire Date from which to calculate eligibility. |
Eligibility Units |
Select the units (Days, Months, Full Months, Quarters, Full Quarters, Years, or Full Years to use to calculate eligibility. |
Number of Units |
Type the number of the selected units to be added to the source date to calculate the period of time an employee must wait to become eligible for the plan. |
Eligible Date On |
Select one of the following options for the day after the waiting period that an employee becomes eligible:
Example: An employee is eligible for a benefit plan after a full two month waiting period from their original hire date. Select Original Hire Date for Source Date, Full Months for Eligibility Units, type 2 for Number of Units, and First Day of Month Following for Eligible Date On. An employee hired on March 15 would be eligible for the benefit plan on June 1; (April and May are two full months; June is the following month). |
