Viewing Exported Data
You can view files exported as a CSV file, an Access database, an ODBC database, as an Excel file, and in XML format. Depending on the Sage HRMS Payroll window you are in when you do the export, there may be one or more sets of data exported. For example:
- If you export from the Currency Rates window into Excel, two Excel worksheets will be created in one workbook (for example, Currency_Rates and Currency_Tables in the workbook file, curr-rates.XLS).
- If you export from Currency Rates into an Access database, two tables will be created in the same database (for example, Currency_Rates and Currency_Tables in the database, curr-rates.MDB).
- If you export in CSV format from Currency Rates, two separate files will be created (for example, currency_rates.CSV and currency_tables.CSV).
To continue our Currency Rates export example, a title line with the following labels displays in each exported file for currency tables data:
Field Label | Description |
---|---|
HOMECUR |
Home Currency |
RATETYPE |
Rate Type |
TABLEDESC |
Table Description |
DATEMATCH |
Date Matching |
RATEOPER |
Rate Operator |
RATESOURCE |
Rate Source |
Each field in the title line is a column displaying the values exported for that field.
Note: Before exporting data from Sage HRMS Payroll, you must create Access and ODBC databases, an Excel file, and determine paths for CSV and XML exports.
