Delete a Detailed Timecard

Tip: Instead of deleting a timecard, you can make a timecard "inactive" if you want to preserve the information but exclude it from payroll calculation.

Before you start

  • Ensure that you no longer need the timecard for calculating payroll.
  • To keep a copy of the timecard details in case you need to restore the timecard after deletion, print the Timecards report (from the Payroll Transaction Reports).

To Delete a Timecard

  1. From Payroll Tasks, select Process Payroll > Timecard List.
  2. At the Employee Timecard field, click the Finder to select a timecard.
  3. Click the Delete button and choose Yes at the confirmation message to delete the timecard.

Alternatively, you can:

  1. Select the employee whose timecard you want to delete.
  2. Enter the timecard number or select the timecard from the Finder.
  3. Click the Delete button and choose Yes at the confirmation message to delete the timecard.
  4. Use the Timecard List window to Delete All timecards.

After deleting the timecard

  • Print the Timecards report (from the Payroll Transaction Reports).
