Accruing time

When you enroll an employee in an attendance plan, Time Off starts accruing time as of today’s date. It is not necessary for you to manually accrue time.

However, you can use the employee's Attendance Summary detail page to show the accrued time when you want to see accrual results for a date other than today’s date. For example, you can see how much vacation time an employee will accrue by the end of the accrual year.

To view the accrued time through a specific date:

  1. Click Accrue.
  2. On the Accrue Attendance Plan window, specify the date to accrue through.
  3. Click OK.

The time accrued is displayed for Accrued on the Accrual Summary tab as well as for the Accrued Since Last Close on the Accrual Breakdown tab.

Note: If have Sage HRMS Payroll and you set up your attendance plans to map to payroll accrual codes, you will not use the Accrue Time function. Time will accrue from Sage HRMS Payroll data when you Process Time Off as part of processing payroll .
