Setting a group’s access level for SAP Crystal Reports and Secure Query works in conjunction with setting Ad Hoc Reporting Security. When you set security for SAP Crystal Reports and Secure Query, you can define access rights at the field level, and each field in your Sage HRMS system is assigned its own level of security.
When you set up security for a group, select Setup > System > Security > Group Security to establish an access level for SAP Crystal Reports and Secure Query. This access level determines which fields in the Sage HRMS system databases are able to be accessed by the security group’s users whenever they use Crystal or Secure Query.
For example, if you set the Ad Hoc Reporting Security Level to one, users can only access database fields with an access level of one. If you set the Ad Hoc Reporting Security Level to two, users can access database fields whose access levels are one or two. Following this logic, if you set the Ad Hoc Reporting Security Level to nine, users can access all database fields and have access to levels one through nine.
