When you add an attendance plan to an employee’s record, Time Off starts accruing time as of today’s date. It is not necessary for you to manually accrue time.
However,Time Off enables you to accrue time from the Attendance Summary detail page for those cases when you want to see accrual results for a date other than today’s date.
Note: If have Sage HRMS Payroll and you set up your attendance plans to map to payroll accrual codes, you will not use the Accrue Time function. Time will accrue fromSage HRMS Payroll data when you Process Time Off as part of processing payroll .
For example, at mid-year, you might want to know how much vacation time an employee will accrue up to the end of the accrual year. Click the Accrue button and enter the accrual year’s end date. Time Off updates accrual amounts on the Attendance Summary page.
