Change Job and Pay

Sage HRMS provides the Change Job and Pay task for you to record employee job promotions. When you record an employee’s job promotion, you must record information such as the date and the reason for the promotion, the new salary, the increase in salary and any applicable organization level and employment status changes.

To Record a Job Promotion

  1. Select Employees > Tasks > Change Job and Pay.
  2. Note: If you are promoting an employee who applied to the position in eRecruiter, select the Applicant check box. This will show only those employees who have accepted offers in their current employer.

  3. Select the employee (or applicant) you want to promote. The steps page opens and lists the steps for recording a job promotion.
  4. Check the steps you want to complete. Complete each step now or schedule steps for yourself or another user to do later. Note that Pay andPerformance Review is a required step.  
  5. Click OK to start moving through the steps.

Pay and Performance Review

The Pay and Performance Review page stores the employee's current pay, the pay change, the performance, and any miscellaneous information.

  1. When you finish entering information on this page, click OK to proceed to the next step in this task.

Job Change

The Job Change page enables you to record the changes in the employee's employment status, current job, and organization levels. You can also enter the effective date and reason for the job change. This page is identical to the Current Job page.

  1. Review the information on this page. Select a job change reason from the drop-down list. If any information about a secondary job applies to this employee, click the Secondary Job tab and make the applicable changes.
  2. Click OK to close the page and complete the task.
