From time to time you conduct pay and performance reviews of employees. The Pay and Performance Review task enables you record the outcome of your employees' performance reviews. You might also want to record a job change if that is the reason for the review.
The following fields appear on the Pay Change tab of the Pay and Performance Review page. The fields marked with an asterisk (*) are closely related. When you change one of these fields, the others are automatically recalculated.

Unit Pay Rate* |
This is the amount the employee earns for each unit worked. Note: Unit Pay Rate cannot exceed 100,000.00. If it does, you will receive a message. Also, if any other related field (pay period salary, annual pay) results in the Unit Pay Rate exceeding 100,000.00, you will also receive a message. |
Pay Period Salary* |
This is the total amount the employee earns for each pay period. |
Hours/Units |
Enter the normal number of hours worked per payroll period. If the you pay the employee by piece or by job, this field reflects the average number of units per payroll period. |
Pay Frequency |
Select the payroll frequency for this employee. |
Annual Pay* |
Sage HRMS calculates this field based on the information entered into the above fields. |
Bonus Amount |
Enter the bonus amount the employee receives. |
Pay Change Amount* |
Amount of money by which the employee's salary is changing. Note: You can enter either a Change Amount or a Percent Change. When you change one field, Sage HRMS recalculates the other. |
Period |
The time period on which the pay change is based. The default is the employee’s pay frequency. |
Percent Change* |
Percentage amount the employee's salary is changing. |
Compa-ratio |
Sage HRMS calculates the compa-ratio statistic. The compa-ratio is the employee’s percent-of-midpoint within a salary range. The formula for calculating compa-ratio is: compa-ratio = employee’s salary / midpoint for salary grade * 100 |
Shift |
Indicate which shift the employee works. |
Shift Premium |
If you select a shift that has a premium, Sage HRMS fills in this field. |

Next Review |
Indicate the date scheduled for the employee’s next performance review. |
Change Effective |
Indicate the effective date of the latest change to any current pay data. |
Reason |
Indicate the reason for this pay change. If the code you are looking for is not in the list, it may be that the code was set to inactive and the Show Inactive Codes indicator (on the Enterprise Setup page) is set to . |
