View Builder - Import Views page
This page opens when you click Import from the menu on the left-hand side of the View Builder page. Use this page to import a View (or Views) from a View definition file (*.xml) into HRMS Employee Self Service.
To import a View
- Enter the path to the *.xml file that contains the View you want to import or click Browse to open the Choose File page, where you can locate the file in the Select an XML file to import field.
- Click OK to open the Views page. Select the check box for each View you want to import.
- Review the Exceptions column for each View. If the View you want to import displays No in this column, click OK to import the View and proceed to step 4. If the View you want to import displays Yes in this column, do one of the following:
- Click OK to import the View. HRMS Employee Self Service will display a message that informs you of the exception error. Click Yes to import the View without fixing the error or click No to return to the Views page.
- Click Generate Exception Report in the lower left-hand corner of the Views page to run the Import Exception Report. Use this report to determine the cause of the error then fix the View before importing it. (Recommended)
- Refresh the View Builder Home page to display the imported View on the list.
- Optionally, click the View to open the Edit View dialog box, where you can use the View Builder pages to format and modify the View.
- Click Save to save the View.
