After you click Print

After you click the Print button on a payroll report window, the program responds in one of the following ways, depending on your print destination setup:

  • If printing to a printer, the program displays the Print window to let you confirm your printer settings and change the number of copies you want printed. To accept the settings, click OK. To change the settings, click Setup.
  • If printing to a file, the program displays a window where you choose the file format and, in most cases, the type of destination. Click OK, then follow the directions in the ensuing windows.

For example:

  • You can create your report in an Adobe Acrobat (PDF) file format, and if you chose the Disk File destination, you can specify export options, the name, type, and location of the file to be created.
  • You can create your report in a Microsoft Excel file format, and, if you chose the Application destination, you can specify Excel format options and have the report immediately open in Microsoft Excel.
  • If printing to the screen (preview), the program displays the report on screen. You can then export it to a file or send it to the printer.
