Entering a date in a text box
Entering a date in a text box is a bit different from entering text in a text box. A date always contains the month, day, and year. Therefore, the slashes between the month and day are automatically included.
To enter the date, either:
- Type the date: First highlight the box. Then type two digits for the month, two digits for the day, and four digits for the year. For example, typed 02012020 for February 1, 2020.
-
Use the calendar: Click the right mouse button to display the calendar, then click a date on the calendar. The current date is circled in red. The selected date is highlighted in gray.
To move to the previous or next month, click the arrows in the top left or top right of the calendar—or click on the month to display a list all months within the year, then select the month from the list.
To move to the previous or next year, click the year and use the arrows to move to the year.
To return to the current day, click Today at the bottom of the calendar.
If needed, click
to close the calendar. The date you selected appears in the date text box
