Employee's Skills page
Use this page to see a table of skills and number of years of experience for this employee.
Tip: If you also use Sage HRMS Train, you can link the skills to certifications.
- On the Skills page, click Add.

On the Skills detail page, enter the following information:
Items on the detail page

Description
Skill Description
Select a skill description or click Add New Code to enter a description of the skill.
Code
(Read only) Displays the code for the employee's skill.
Years Experience
Select the number of years of experience that the employee has in this skill.
Comments
Enter any comments.

If you want to attach a file associated with this skill:
- Click the Attachments tab.
- Below the table of attachments, click Add.

Enter the following information about the attachment.

Code
Select the code for this type of attachment.
Title
Enter the title for the attachment.
File
Displays the file name of the attachment.
To select the attachment file, click this Upload File icon to open the Select file to attach window, locate and select the file, and then click Open.
Updated
Displays the date and time when the file was last uploaded.
Display in Employee Self Service
Select this check box if you want the employee to be able to view this attachment in Employee Self Service.
- Click OK. The attachment is then added to the table on he Attachments tab.
- Click OK.
- In the table on the Skills page, highlight the skill you want to view.
- Either click More or click + at the beginning of the row.
- On the Skills detail page, make any needed changes.
- Click OK.
- In the table on the Skills page, highlight the skill you want to delete.
- Click Delete.
- When asked if you want to delete the skill, click Yes.
Note: The table on this page may contain duplicate skill entries. If you are also using Sage Employee Self Service, duplicate skill entries (both the original and the duplicate) will not display on the employee's Skills page but the employee will receive a message to contact the Human Resources department for assistance.
