Example: Add a New Custom Field to a Page

You want to add Last Service Date to the Company Car custom page as a required field.

  1. Select Setup > System > Design Custom Details.
  2. From the Detail Type drop-down list, select Employee.
  3. From the Custom Details list, select Company Car and click More. The Company Car page opens.
  4. Click the location on the page where you want the field to appear. The Define a Custom Detail dialog box opens.
  5. Select the Employee Custom Fields radio button. All the existing employee custom fields are displayed.
  6. Click Add. The Field Information dialog box opens.
    1. In the Field Title box, enter Last Service Date.
    2. In the Database Field box, enter LSTSVCDT.
    3. From the Data Type drop-down list, select DATE.
  7. Select Required Field.
  8. Select None for Field Level Security.
  9. When done, click OK.
