Customizing the Connected Services Menu

The Connected Services menu lists supplemental tools and applications, and can be configured to launch external applications. Using Custom Details, you can:

  • Add links to applications
  • Modify what applications are listed
  • Change the order of the applications
  • Delete links to applications

Note: If you are using Sage HRMS on a network, make sure all other users log out of Sage HRMS before you begin customizing the program. Only after you have completed your customizations and rebuilt system files should other users log on to the system.

  1. Select Setup > System > Customize Menu.
  2. From the Product field drop-down list, select System.
  3. In the Activity field drop-down list, select Connected Services.
  4. From the Button drop-down list, select Sage HRMS Tools, Employee Self Service, or Integrations to choose the submenu you want to customize.
    • The applications under each section are displayed in the list on the right for your selection.
  5. Click Add. The Customize window opens.
  6. In the Title field, enter the title you want to display in the Connected Services menu.
  7. In the Program field, locate and select the .EXE file for the program you want the icon to launch. Click OK.
  8. In the Parameters field, enter any parameters needed to call the program, if applicable.
  9. Click OK to save your changes.
  10. Continue adding applications as necessary.
  11. When done adding applications, click OK to save your changes.
  12. Click Yes when prompted to rebuild your system files.

  5. You can now modify the applications listed in the submenu.
    1. Select the application from the Buttons list box and click More. The Customize window opens.
    2. Make the change and click OK.

      Note: You can change only the name of a custom application, not an Sage HRMS standard button.

    1. Select the button from the Button drop-down list. The applications appear in the list on the right.
    2. Click Add.
    3. Enter the application information (title, program, parameters) and click OK.

    2. Select the application and click Delete. Confirm the deletion.

    2. Select the application and click More.  
    3. Change the application information and click OK.
  6. When done, click OK to save your changes.
  7. Select Yes when prompted to rebuild your system files.

  5. Click the application to move and drag it to the new location.
  6. When done, click OK to save your changes.
  7. Click Yes when prompted to rebuild your system files.

  5. Select the application from the list and click Delete. Confirm the deletion.
  6. When done, click OK to save your changes.
  7. Click Yes when prompted to rebuild your system files.
