Each security group contains one or more users assigned to that group. Each user must have a User Name, ID, and password to have access to the security group. There are two ways a user can log on to the security group:
Note: The MASTER user will always use the Sage authentication. If the MASTER user tries to use the Windows logon when logging on to the application, they will receive an invalid User Name/password message.

Additionally, if you are also using Sage Employee Self Service, you must set up Windows Authentication separately from within Sage ESS.
Note: If you edit a user and change the security group to restrict the user’s access, make sure you reassign the tasks this user is no longer able to perform due to restricted access. For information about assigning tasks, see Use the Scheduler.
Users who attempt to log on to Sage HRMS with a deactivated user ID are shown an "Invalid username/password." message and cannot log on.
Before deleting the user, remove the scheduled tasks from the user’s Organizer. After deleting the tasks, repeat the above procedure to delete the user.
