Your employer might offer different types of attendance plans to different groups of employees. For this reason, Time Off allows you to associate the same absence reason code with more than one plan.
If you set up two different plans that have the same absence reason code and enroll an employee in both plans, when he or she incurs an absence, a single absence transaction is created but the time taken is charged against both plans.
Further, if you set up an absence reason and do not associate it with any attendance plan, the absence transaction using this absence reason will not post to any attendance plan. For more information, refer to Absence Reason Codes.
Note: If you are using Sage ESS, you cannot associate the same absence reason codes with multiple plans. That is, each plan must have unique absence reason codes.
