Cannot Access the SQL Server Client Engine or SQL Server

1. Check ODBC Data Source definitions using ODBC Administrator, ensuring that the server name is correct.
2. Check selected protocol by running SQL Client Configuration Utility (SQL Server Tools group).
3. Test your ability to communicate with the server by using ISQL/w.
4. Start ISQL/w.
5. Select the database from the drop-down list in the dialog box.
6. Enter the following SQL statement, and execute.

   select TABLENAME from DATADICT

7. Check the Sage 300 Payroll database profile by running the Sage 300 Payroll Database Setup utility. Make sure the correct information is specified for the databases.
