This page, available from the Navigation pane Employees > View/Edit Employee (select an employee) > Personal tab, displays information about the employee’s seniority, employment eligibility, military history, and union affiliation. This page also provides four user-defined fields.
Tasks that update the HR Status window include Record New Hire and Rehire Employee.

Original Hire Date |
Enter the date the employer first hired the employee. This is a required field. |
Last Hire Date |
This is the most recent date of hire used to include the employee on New Hire reports. This is a required field. Note: If this field is updated, the Payroll Hire Date will be updated in Sage HRMS Payroll if you use this module. |
Adjusted Seniority Date |
Defaults to the Original Hire Date. Sage HRMS uses this date to calculate seniority. You can adjust the date to give credit for more seniority. If you are using Time Off and decide to modify the Adjusted Seniority Date, the following message displays: Would you like to change the Attendance Seniority Start Date to <New Date> for all attendance plans based on Seniority Date for this employee? Click to update plans that are based on Seniority Start Date. This is a required field. |
Seniority: Years, Months |
Sage HRMS automatically calculates this field from the Adjusted Seniority Date. |
Citizen | Enter the country to which the employee is a citizen. |
Time Off: Service Date |
In previous releases of Sage HRMS, this field was named Vacation Service Date. Defaults to the hire date entered during the Add New Hire task. This is a required field. |
Time Off: Years, Months |
Sage HRMS automatically calculates this value from the Time Off: Service Date. |
Recruiter | Enter which recruiter worked with this employee. |
Source of Hire | Enter the employee's referral method (walk-in, agency, newspaper ad). |

I-9 Verification Status |
Indicate if you completed Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification to verify employment eligibility. |
I-9 Reverification Date |
Enter the date for reverifying the information on Form I-9. This applies only for employees who require EEO reporting. |
Work Authorization | Select the type of work authorization for this employee: Alien Authorized to Work, U.S. Citizen, Noncitizen National, or Permanent Resident. |
Document A | Select from this list of acceptable documents that establish both identity and employment authorization. |
Expiration Date | Select the expiration date for selected Document A. The document must be unexpired. |
Document B | Select from this list of acceptable documents that establish identity. |
Expiration Date | Select the expiration data for selected Document B. The document must be unexpired. |
Document C | Select from this list of acceptable documents that establish employment authorization. |
Expiration Date | Select the expiration data for selected Document C. The document must be unexpired. |

Active Duty Wartime or Campaign Badge Veteran | Indicate if the employee is an active duty wartime or campaign badge veteran. Select the check box for | , clear the check box for No.
The HR Status page has four user-defined employment fields on the User Defined tab. You or your system administrator set up these fields on the HR Setup page to suit the special needs of your organization. Examples of field possibilities include uniform size, parking space allotment, or outside community involvement. Or, you might use these fields to record information about driver's licenses, security clearances, or the results of drug screenings.
