Change Master User Password
The Master
user is granted access to all Master user functionality (refer
to System
Administration Overview).
There is only one Master user logon and the Master user can change the
Master password at any time. The username for the Master user is always Master.
Using the Change Password page, you can change the password (but not
the username).
To change the Master user password
- Log
on to Sage Employee Self Service as the Master user then select System Administrator > Roles and Logon > Change Password.
- Type your
new password, following the requirements as defined in Logon Setup.
- Re-type
the password to confirm.
- Click Save.
To Reset the Master user password
A separate system function is provided to reset the
Master password to a new secure code. This function is available in the installed System Maintenance utility, for which you must have Administrative access.
- From the Start menu on the administrator's system, select All Programs > Sage Employee Self Service > System Maintenance. The System Maintenance utility opens.
- On the Configurations and Settings tab, click the Generate Master Password button. A secure combination of letters and numbers displays in the password field.
- Highlight the password displayed and copy using Ctrl + c or right-click with your mouse and select Copy.
- Log into Sage Employee Self Service using the username Master and the copied password.
